Message from the Chairman

Starting a mental health company in the Philippines is not an easy endeavor. There are many challenges, from the lack of mental health professionals to unestablished regulations, that go along with the still remaining stigma on mental health services. When Argao Health Inc. was founded, it was not spared from these challenges – some of which it continues to address.

Although there are many challenges, Argao Health Inc. (AHI) has continued to overcome and to thrive. Since its incorporation, AHI has been creating spaces for growth: growth of the Company, growth of the team, and growth of our community.

We have created spaces for the growth of our Company over these past years. Our numbers – as shown in this report – clearly indicate how we have grown from a small, two-door clinic to the largest private out-patient mental health center in the Central Luzon Region. We have grown in terms of facilities, manpower, services, reach, and scope. Our numbers merely show a summary of our accomplishments, but the stories behind these numbers speak more of our impact in the mental health field.

We have also created spaces for growth for our team through the various professional activities, team engagement programs, and continuing education and training. AHI has committed towards becoming a mental health company that trains and prepares future mental health professionals. The spaces we create for growth are spaces that are safe, positive, and inclusive. We nurture spaces for collaboration where creativity and innovation is encouraged. We create spaces where each team member’s passion is harnessed to fulfill their purpose.

We have also created spaces for growth for our community through innovations in mental health services, integrative and evidence-based approaches to intervention, and community engagement activities. We have provided thousands of sessions to over 3500 individuals, many of whom have been able to benefit from the high quality of services that we provide. We have done over 500 webinars, seminars, workshops, and training programs, reaching tens of thousands of participants. We have partnered with communities, companies, organizations, government institutions, and educational institutions.

While this report would show how much we have accomplished, it is also a reminder of how much we still have to do and what more we have to work on. We will continue with our mission of providing every Filipino the mental health care they deserve, while keeping within ourselves the values we hold dearly: integrity, competence, accountability, resiliency, and equality.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge the hard work and significant contributions of every member of the Argao Health Inc. team without whom the Company’s growth would not have been possible. Thank you, team, for all that you do! May we all grow together!
